Mia R. Zolna

Senior Research Associate

Mia Zolna joined the Guttmacher Institute in 2005 and is currently a Senior Research Associate. Her main areas of research include unintended pregnancy, abortion, and family planning service delivery in the United States. She has managed several of the Institute’s periodic fielding efforts and is an affiliate of the Guttmacher Center for Population Research Innovation and Dissemination. Ms. Zolna has published articles in the New England Journal of Medicine, the American Journal of Public Health, and Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health, among others, and is a member of the American Public Health Association and the Population Association of America. She received her AB in biopsychology from Vassar College and her MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
