Sophia Sadinsky joined the Guttmacher Institute in December 2017 as an International Communications Manager. She develops a range of materials to communicate the Institute’s international research to diverse audiences including policymakers, advocates and media outlets, and helps create dissemination strategies in collaboration with in-country, regional and global partners. As an Open Society Foundations grantee, Ms. Sadinsky has conducted extensive field research in Colombia in partnership with local human rights defenders on the role of civil society in the peace process. She also lived for a number of years in Argentina, where she worked with Human Rights Watch conducting regional human rights monitoring and advocacy. Ms. Sadinsky received her master’s degree in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where she earned distinction in international and global affairs. She has a BA in the science in society program and French studies from Wesleyan University.
