Veronika joined the Guttmacher Institute in 2020 as associate director of global communications. She develops and implements strategies to increase the visibility and impact of the Institute’s international work, and leads the global communications team in building and strengthening alliances with partners and stakeholders. Veronika brings more than 10 years of strategic global communications and media relations experience, having held positions at the Center for Reproductive Rights, the United Nations and Global Health Strategies. Before that, she was a journalist at Reuters, where she covered West and Central Africa. Veronika holds an MA in international affairs and diplomacy from SOAS University of London, as well as an MA in literature and history of art from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland.
